Find the license details in the sportsbook’s footer: the regulator and the license or account number. Search that number in the regulator’s public register, such as the UK Gambling Commission register or iGaming Ontario’s operator list. If the number is missing or the company name doesn’t match, don’t deposit.
No sportsbook is cheapest on every market. Compare the bookmaker margin on the bets you place most often: the lower the margin, the more of each bet you get back over time. Our margin calculator works it out from any set of prices.
It depends on where you live. UK bettors pay no tax on winnings. In the US, gambling winnings are taxable income. Recreational bettors in Ontario and the rest of Canada generally pay no tax on winnings. Each market page lists the local rule.
